Staff And Tutors
President: Ted Russell B.A., Litt.B., M.ED., D.P.E.,
T.C
.
Ted Russell has been an educator throughout his adult life. A teacher and administrator in small and large schools, he was appointed, in mid career, to university education in English, where he also managed English Second Language courses for teachers, and pioneered the first rural tertiary education program for indigenous people in Australia. He, with his family, enjoyed two different sabbatical research placements in the UK and he supported his professional life with many published books and articles. The love of Scripture led Ted to be an international speaker in that field, and he has initiated Conversational English programs for second language learners, using the Bible as the main resource. He has been driven by the conviction that Scripture is essentially inspired literature and must be seen as such. His research therefore includes, among other publications, a series of 42 articles on “How to Study the Scriptures“. He once said, “The process of learning becomes a matter of emphasis and attitude, and contributions can be measured in terms of what has happened to the individual, and their change of emphasis and perceptions, in relation to their education“.
